Is Jaws a true story?
Based on the real “warfare” between New Jerseyans and a shark in 1916, this don’t-look-down thriller is inspired by real events. The real story follows a string of attacks along the coast in New Jersey that took four lives. But that’s where the similarities end. Sharks rarely attack humans and this is one of two recorded events in the history of the area. The rest of the film’s plot is inspired by Peter Benchley’s 1974 novel of the same name and Spielberg’s imagination. And that spine-chilling soundtrack? Artist, John Williams’ masterpiece.
Is Jaws appropriate for a 10 year old?
Up to you, mon ami, up to you.
Is Jaws a boy or a girl?
Not sure why that’s relevant, but the shark from the 1975 classic is named Bruce. So for those wondering, Jaws seems to be about a binary cis-male. Of course, we don’t speak Shark so I guess we’ll never know for sure.
Is Jaws the best movie ever?
Best is subjective, but we’ll venture a guess that this is a classic for a reason. We suggest watching it with an open mind and taking the release date into account (1975). The effects weren’t what they are today, but it’s still a film we keep going back to!
We hope your Jaws-related questions were answered. In the meantime... Duuuunnnn duun... duuunnnnnnnn dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnn dunnnn!
